I got my first camera when I was 10 years old. It was made by Fisher-Price, used 110 film, and required flash bulbs—and it’s what set my love of photography in motion. Maybe it’s that I always saw things differently, but that was the camera which first allowed me to share my personal ways of seeing.
I received my BFA in photography in 1999 from Wayne State University, and I’ve been a freelance photographer ever since. On this blog, I’ll be sharing mostly portrait work, specifically my work with children, couples, and families. My website, Rebecca Gizicki Photography, can be visited here. My wedding photography is arranged through Francis Marie Photography, the photographic partnership I founded with colleague and friend Chris Hiltz. The Francis Marie portfolio can be viewed here.
